WORKING WITH A RECRUITER

Executive recruiters are retained by companies that need executives with very special traits that will fit their needs.

TransExec gets most of its leads from its contacts in the transportation industry. If you are called by TransExec, it is a compliment, as someone who knows you thinks you are a "star" executive and might be a good fit for the kind of person a com-
pany wants in a particular role.

If you are not interested, TransExec may ask you for recommendations about others who are exceptional specialists in your arena.

If you are interested in the position and TransExec believes
you to be a viable candidate, we will ask you several questions
and request a copy of your resume and for names and phone numbers of business references. (If you do not have a resume ready and do not submit it to TransExec within 48 hours or so, TransExec will assume you are not interested in the positon.) If your materials look promising, we will speak to our client about you. The client may wish to call you to speak with you over the telephone or may want to see you in person for an interview. When you want updates about what is going on in the process, you will call TransExec, not the client company.
